What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic Acid, known as HA, is a naturally occurring substance found in the skin. HA is crucial for maintaining hydration while keeping the skin plump and healthy-looking. As we age, the production of HA in the skin diminishes. This process contributes to the appearance of lines and wrinkles or any age-related volume loss.

What Are Fillers and How Do They Work?

Hyaluronic Acid fillers are cosmetic injections. HA fillers consist of a smooth, clear gel derived from Hyaluronic Acid. HA is a naturally occurring substance found in the body that works with collagen to ensure the skin stays naturally hydrated and plump.

Juvéderm and Restylane fillers are injected into the subcutaneous layer of skin to fill in depressions and restore volume loss. Also, the collection includes formulations that help enhance facial features like cheek fillers or lip injections.

Hyaluronic fillers are commonly used in combination with Botox injections and similar neuromodulators like Dysport or Xeomin for complete facial rejuvenation.

How Long Do Fillers Last?

Facial fillers are temporary. Depending on the specific formulation, results can last between 6 months to 2 years before the body naturally absorbs the filler.

What Can Juvéderm and Restylane Enhance and Rejuvenate?

The Hyaluronic Acid fillers of Juvéderm and Restylane work underneath the skin, plumping up the area and pushing up depressions. They can effectively do the following:

  • Fills in pitted acne scars
  • Fills in under-eye hollows
  • Softens glabellar lines
  • Softens nasolabial folds
  • Softens vertical lip lines
  • Smooths marionette lines
  • Lifts, contours, and restores volume to cheeks
  • Enhances and defines lips
  • Volumize pre-jowl depression

We offer a few different types of Juvéderm® fillers such as Juvéderm Ultra, Juvéderm Ultra Plus, Juvéderm Voluma XC and Juvéderm Volbella.

Dermal Fillers Before and After*

Juvéderm’s before and after images demonstrate how well Hyaluronic acid fillers can fill in lines and wrinkles, plump up areas with age-related volume loss, and augment lips or cheeks. Results will vary per patient.*

Juvéderm and Restylane Side Effects

Juvéderm and Restylane are FDA-cleared treatments that tote a high safety profile. Side effects are rare but can include redness, tenderness, firmness, bruising, discoloration, and swelling at the injection site. If side effects do occur, they are mild and will resolve themselves within a few days. Because facial fillers are a technique-sensitive treatment, the best way to avoid side effects is to choose an establishment with skilled, experienced injection specialists.

During a free consultation from Cosmetic Rejuvenation Medical Center, you can discuss the possibility of side effects with our staff.

How Much Do Dermal Fillers Cost?

Dermal filler costs depend on several factors, including the treatment area, the number of injections needed for the desired aesthetic look, and whether the fillers are used with another treatment like Botox. During a complimentary consultation, you can discuss injection prices in detail. If HA fillers are suitable for you, our staff can create the perfect treatment plan to fit your needs and match your budget.

What is Sculptra Aesthetic?

Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen—the most common protein in the body that is used to form a framework to support cell and tissue—for results that can last more than two years.*

Sculptra is used to diminish facial wrinkles and folds and has been clinically approved to treat smile lines, marionette lines and chin wrinkles.

What is RADIESSE Filler?

RADIESSE is a dermal filler that is used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). RADIESSE® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands. Radiesse can also be used to lift and define cheeks.

Collagen is the main structural protein in our skin–it’s what helps it feel and look tight, taught, and youthful. As we age, the production of collagen slows down, causing skin to sag.

RADIESSE is a collagen stimulator. It stimulates the body’s process of generating collagen and encourages growth, for a more refreshed appearance. Once injected, it provides immediate volume and correction and continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen for a long-lasting effect.

RHA Resilient Hyaluronic Acid

Designed to adapt seamlessly to the dynamic demands of the face to achieve a natural look.
Dynamic wrinkles and folds appear in areas of the face which move repetitively. The RHA® Collection is designed to be resilient enough to adapt to your facial movement, which may provide a more natural look at rest and in motion.

Treating dynamic wrinkles on the face can be a challenge because these wrinkles are so much deeper in the skin – sometimes so deep not even the best cosmetic treatments seem to make a difference. That all changes now with the exclusive U.S. release of RHA® Resilient Hyaluronic Acid®, a revolutionary cosmetic treatment that’s turning heads and drawing tons of praise.

What Is RHA Resilient Hyaluronic Acid?

RHA is an advanced form of hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring acid in the skin that retains moisture within the skin and supports the production of collagen, the protein in charge of supporting skin structure. RHA® Resilient Hyaluronic Acid® is the answer to many challenging aesthetic concerns, including:

  • Dynamic wrinkles
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Expression lines around the mouth

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC is the first and only hyaluronic acid (HA) filler to receive U.S. FDA Approval for improving jawline definition.

JUVÉDERM VOLUX™ was specifically formulated to lift, shape and define the lower face. It’s a highly mouldable and dense hyaluronic acid dermal filler. These properties make it perfect when lifting and contouring are required. As such, VOLUX™has been specifically formulated to enhance, shape, and augment the chin. It’s also particularly effective in lifting, reshaping, and sculpting the jawline.

As CRMC Aesthetics is one of the top injectable practices in the United States, we have been chosen to receive exclusive early access to this brand-new filler!

How to get a better jawline using Volux™

Volux™ is a Hyaluronic Acid filler that is specifically designed to mimic the appearance and feeling of bone making it the perfect product to build a stronger jawline. Volux™ can be injected along the jaw and chin to build volume and structure which will help balance your profile. Volux™ has been the top product for jawline contouring in Europe for years, we are so excited to now have access to this groundbreaking product in the United States!

How much is Volux™ and how many syringes do I need?

Underlying genetic bone structure and the age of an individual decides how many syringes of Volux™ may be needed. At La Chelé Medical Aesthetics, we prefer a conservative approach. On average, we inject 2-3 syringes at one time, although single syringes can also be used. A second session for further augmentation can be done one month later. Pricing is tiered based on the number of syringes used. Dermal fillers in general can range from $700- $1000 for one syringe.

Volux™ is a fantastic option for men who want a more chiseled and defined jawline. Stronger jawlines have been linked to higher testosterone and are perceived as younger. This minimally invasive treatment can enhance your masculine features without the need for surgeries and implants. If you are interested in chiseling your jawline, call 215-862-6100 to book your complimentary consultation today.

How soon will I see results from Volux™?

The results from a Volux™ treatment can be seen immediately after injection. Minimal swelling occurs, but as most fillers, it takes up to two weeks for the filler to settle. Once the filler is fully settled you should have a beautifully chiseled jawline. Some clients may require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results so each client’s treatment plan may vary.

Is there any downtime after Volux™ injections?

Volux™ may involve more significant downtime than other fillers. Patients often experience stiffness in the jaw, feeling of firmness, difficulty opening mouths and biting, along with speech difficulty. These side effects can be intense but should subside within the first 72 hours after injection. The product typically integrates and feels completely natural by weeks 3-4. The product is very moldable for the first 72 hours and should be massaged if any lumps are felt.

How long does Volux ™ last?

Volux™ is FDA approved to last up to 12 months, however, some studies show it can last up to 18 months. The longevity of dermal filler depends on a variety of factors including your own basal metabolic rate, which is unique to you. Your injector’s experience level and the number of syringes used also play a role in your filler’s longevity.

Am I a candidate for jawline filler using Volux™?

We often see clients who are struggling with their side profile and this can be caused by a variety of factors. Often times clients with poor jawline definition are lacking volume in their lower mandible, chin, or both. Adding filler in these areas can help to define the jawline, balance your side profile, and even improve the appearance of the jowls and submentum (upper neck). Upon your initial consultation, we take aesthetic facial proportion measurements to determine if your chin is recessed, the severity of your jowls, and the sharpness of your gonial angle (jawline). Depending upon the amount of fat and bone loss in these areas, your La Chele aesthetic provider will determine if you are a good candidate for Volux™. If you are looking to chisel your jawline or improve your profile, call 215-862-6100 to book your complimentary Volux™ consultation today!
